My first post

So, I am here on a Friday evening getting ready to write my first blog post. I firstly wanted a way to keep up on my production. I also wanted to start sharing some of my creations and ideas with the world. 

Some would ask why the title "BlackGirlBags". Well, my friend Renee thought of it as I starting a  small business with making bags for crafters. She believed that I needed a rocking name. I had a lot of questions about why the bags were just for "black girls". I had to laugh but at first explained that it was about the maker, not about the use.  

Here is one of the many bags I have made over the last few months. The outside is made of a lightweight canvas and the lining is quilters cotton. I use mostly white to match everything.

I am going to continue my Etsy shop. Why not, It's only $.20 an entry.  I just need to post more pictures. I got some recommendations from a friend on how to take the pictures.

I recently started watching Star Trek: Discovery. I am now in love with this show.  I am a fan of the lead character. I am now on episode 10 and I only started 3 days ago.

I started a new journal today. The brand is called stonit. I got it from Barnes and Noble a few months ago.  I finally wrote in it, using my TUL pens of course, and this is the smoothest paper I have ever felt. I have got to get more of these.  I could absolutely write for this in weeks. 

Here it is in white.  Seriously, for those of you that journal, this is the one.  I started doing a Hobonichi about 3 years ago and I love it. I have accumulated tons of journals. I am more of a "collector" now it seems.   : ) However I would recommend this over any journal I have used thus far.

Oh Well, for now, I am going to sign out. I plan on taking many more pictures of life to blog with as well.
